WKC Gets Results!

California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) results were released for the 2023-24 school year. WKC celebrates both Taft Union High School District and Elk Hills Elementary School District for having some of the strongest proficiency growth in Kern! Check out this EdConnect article that features their work, along with WKC partner Maple Elementary School.

Of the 50+ districts and charter schools in Kern County, only eight have exceeded prepandemic scores in math and 11 in English Language Arts. Impressively, all four elementary districts in the WKC are part of this high-performing group. Taft Union High School District has also exceeded prepandemic scores in ELA.

A huge thanks goes out to all the families, students, teachers, and staff who prioritize learning in our community schools!
