WKC Awarded Early Childhood Wraparound Services Grant

The California Department of Healthcare Services recently awarded the West Kern Consortium an early childhood wraparound services grant through the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative. Using the Parents as Teachers curriculum, in-home parent educators will provide regular home visits for families with children 0-5 years old. With the funds, a nurse and nutritionist will provide support to the home visitation team and families. The community schools will serve as home bases for the program and Lost Hills Union Elementary School will serve as the lead.
